About The Role
As a Product Designer at InHouse, you’ll help shape how renters design and furnish their homes through a next-generation, AI-powered platform. You’ll design core experiences across our resident, building, and designer surfaces—turning floor plans, photos, and spatial data into intuitive tools that let users visualize complete rooms, swap products instantly, and confidently shop furnishings that are guaranteed to fit.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role working closely with engineering and leadership to translate complex systems into simple, human-centered experiences. You’ll operate across strategy, UX, visual design, and design systems, moving quickly from concept to execution in a high-growth, early-stage environment.
This role is ideal for a strong generalist with sharp product instincts, systems thinking, and an eye for brand, who’s excited to help define the foundation of a category-defining product.
What You'll Do
Lead design for core product surfaces, turning complex business and technical problems into simple, intuitive product experiences
Own design end-to-end—from early concepts and user flows through high-fidelity design and developer handoff
Build high-fidelity prototypes to quickly test ideas, gather feedback, and move the product forward
Iterate based on user feedback, usability testing, and real-world data after launch
Partner closely with engineering and leadership to solve high-impact, time-sensitive problems
Help build and evolve our design system to improve consistency and speed as we scale
Move fast, make smart tradeoffs, and know when something is ready to ship
Manage multiple workstreams while maintaining a high bar for clarity, quality, and attention to detail
What You Need
6+ years of experience designing digital products and systems
A strong portfolio that demonstrates excellent craft, product thinking, and attention to detail
Comfort operating in ambiguity—you move quickly, make decisions, and iterate without perfect information
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a low-ego approach and openness to feedback
Ability to flex across product, UX, visual design, and systems thinking as needed
A strong point of view on how products should be built and experienced
Ability to clearly articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable using AI tooling and actively exploring ways to work faster, smarter, and more efficiently
Nice to Have
Experience with motion design (Jitter or similar)
Familiarity with AI-powered design tools
Working knowledge of modern web platforms like Framer or Webflow
