Accessibility

Our Commitment

InHouse is committed to making our platform usable for as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We want everyone to be able to plan, visualize, and furnish their home, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how we build. This statement applies to our public websites and our web application at app.tryinhouse.com.

Conformance Goal

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our target standard, consistent with the accessibility expectations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. Because parts of our platform are interactive, image-rich, and constantly evolving — including 3D visualizations and Digital Twins — some areas may not yet fully meet every criterion, and some visual design content may not translate fully to non-visual formats. We are actively working to identify and resolve gaps, and we offer to assist directly where content is not yet fully accessible.

Measures We Take

·       Semantic HTML, landmarks, and heading structure for screen-reader navigation.

·       "Skip to main content" links and keyboard-operable navigation and controls.

·       Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images and labels for form fields.

·       Attention to color contrast and visible focus states.

·       Accessibility considerations in our design and development review process.

Third-Party and User-Generated Content

Some content on our platform is provided by third parties (for example, product listings, brand assets, and certain 3D models) or by other users. We do not control the accessibility of all third-party content, but we encourage our partners to meet accessibility standards and we work to surface that content in accessible ways.

Ongoing Effort

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We periodically review the platform, incorporate accessibility into new features, and prioritize fixes based on impact. This statement will be updated as our platform and practices evolve.
