Intern (Winter/Spring 2027)
Work directly with our CEO on the marketing, operations, and business strategy behind the company bringing the inside of every home online.
About The Role
Spend winter and spring 2027 (January through June) working directly with our founder and CEO, Jono Schafler, a serial entrepreneur with 15+ years of experience building venture-backed startups. This is a business internship at an AI company: you will own real projects across marketing, operations, and business development, the work that brings our digital twins of real homes to customers, property partners, and furniture brands. You will report directly to the CEO, see how a venture-backed company is built from the inside, and your work will ship.
This internship is only for AI-native people. We are looking for people who already use AI tools for everything they do, from research and writing to analysis and building, who reach for AI first on every problem, and who are excited by how fast the tools are changing. If AI is still a novelty to you, this is not the right role.
What You'll Do
Own a scoped project in marketing, operations, or business development, reporting directly to the CEO.
Marketing: create and launch campaigns, content, and social that bring new users to InHouse, and measure what works.
Operations: improve how we deliver for clients, from designer coordination to ordering and fulfillment.
Business development: research and reach out to property managers, real estate partners, and furniture brands, and help prepare pitches and partner materials.
Research markets, competitors, and customers, and turn what you find into clear recommendations.
Use AI tools every day to research, write, analyze, build, and move faster than a traditional team.
Present your results and recommendations to the CEO and team at the end of the internship.
What You Need
Fully AI-native: you already use AI tools every day to research, write, analyze, and build (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar), and you can show us how.
Currently enrolled in a degree program in business, marketing, economics, communications, engineering, design, or a related field.
Available at least 20 hours per week from January through June 2027, working from our New York office at least part of the week.
Strong writing and communication skills, with the confidence to work directly with a CEO.
A self-starter who takes ownership, moves quickly, and follows through without detailed instructions.
Organized, curious, and comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-moving startup.
Nice to Have
Experience growing a social account, running a club or campaign, or launching something of your own.
Interest in real estate, interior design, e-commerce, or consumer technology.
Comfort with spreadsheets, data, or AI-built tools.

Potential to convert to a full-time role
